Jurong West HDB blocks at dusk with warm windows lit

Passing thoughts that come and go — caught while they're still moving.

Hello — I'm Aisha. I live around Jurong West and Boon Lay, and this is where I write down the small things: teh at the kopitiam, bus rides, market colours, the radio in my kitchen. Nothing polished. Just notes before they drift away.

Still moving

Why this site exists

I started MindWave because my thoughts rarely arrive in straight lines. They surface on the 179, over a cup of teh, while I'm waiting for the kettle — and if I don't write them down, they slip off somewhere I can't follow. This isn't a publication or a brand. It's one person's notebook, open on the table, with the fan blowing the corners a little.

Most entries are gentle: walks around Jurong Lake Gardens, overheard kindness, the particular colour of a tarp at Boon Lay market. One piece near the top of the journal is different — a memory from Choa Chu Kang on 26 May that I still haven't been able to close. Everything else stays in the ordinary register of a neighbourhood I love without pretending to explain it.

If you have ever sat at a void deck longer than you planned, watching the day change colour, you might recognise the mood here. Pull up a chair. Read slowly. Leave when you need to.

About Aisha

Who writes here

I work part-time and write when the apartment is quiet enough. Jurong West is home — the bus stops I know by heart, the market stalls that recognise my face even when I forget what I came for.
